San Jose shows solidarity with Wisconsin!

March 2, 2011 – Some 600 people gathered in front of Martin Luther King Jr. Library in San Jose on Tuesday for a solidarity rally for Wisconsin. Students, local elected leaders and union workers spoke up to say, “NO” to Wisconsin Governor Walker’s attacks on working families.

SEIU 521 members did not miss the chance to be part of a growing national movement that is once again re-affirming the role of public-sector workers who help rebuild our economy.

“I wanted to stand with my brothers and sisters in Wisconsin and everywhere,” said 521 Retiree Carol Garvey.
