Workers, students to rally for “fair budget, fair economy”

SAN JOSE – Workers, community activists and students are staging a rally Thursday in San Jose to call on state legislators to pass a fair budget which is the first step to building a fair economy for all Californians.

The clock is ticking in Sacramento for legislators to adopt Governor Brown’s budget proposal , which calls for painful cuts as well as extending tax measures in June.

The rally will highlight the need for the whole community to come together and rebuild California so that what’s happening in Wisconsin stays in Wisconsin.

WHO: SEIU Local 521 home care workers, students, clergy
