Menlo Park workers celebrate ‘Public Workers Week’

Menlo Park city workers mingled with residents at the farmer’s market May 20. The city declared the week “Public Workers Week” and said “Public Works personnel are among the first responders during emergencies and disasters” and “the health, safety, and comfort of our community and neighborhoods greatly depend on these Public Works programs.”

“We have great parks and services because of the dedicated staff that go above and beyond to keep our parks safe, secure and clean for the residents of Menlo Park to enjoy,” said Oswaldo Hurtado. “We are proud the Mayor declared May 15-21 Public Workers Week and we celebrated this with the community at farmers market on Sunday.”
