Monterey County rejects workers’ budget ideas

The Monterey County Board of Supervisors may have adopted a balanced budget this week, but it did so without considering millions of dollars of cost-saving ideas and budget solutions submitted from its largest employee group, represented by SEIU Local 521.

A unity break will be held Friday, June 24, at 1000 South Main Street, Salinas, at the Quad.

Workers are encouraged to come at Noon to show support for fair contract talks.
