VTA members press for a fair contract

VTA groupJune 3, 2011 – Valley Transportation Authority employs some 250 SEIU-represented workers. With an (unscientific but realistic) average of 10 years of service per worker, that translates to 2,500 years of “service, dedication and expertise,” observed Mark Knollmueller, Construction Inspector for VTA.

Mark made the comment to the VTA Board of Directors on June 2, as dozens of co-workers sat in the audience to show support for their contract negotiating team.

Workers attended the board meeting to ask that any budget that gets passed be approved with room for accommodating current contract negotiations.
