Nov. election campaign enters home stretch

We’re entering the home stretch of the Nov. 8 General Election campaign in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

San Mateo County

Endorsements in San Mateo County (PDF)

Volunteer for phone banks and precinct walking:

– Precinct Walks: Starting at 9 a.m. on Nov. 5 & 6, leaving from 1153 Chess Dr., Foster City

– Phone Banks: Monday – Thursday, 5:30-8:30 p.m., until Nov. 8 at IBEW #617 Hall, 1701 Leslie St., San Mateo (Dinner Served)

– Get Out the Vote: Monday, Nov. 7 & Tuesday, Nov. 8

Santa Clara County

The South Bay Labor Council endorsed three candidates for Sunnyvale City Council: Bo Chang for Seat 5, Jim Davis for Seat 6 and Fred Fowler for Seat 7.

In the Cupertino City Council election, the South Bay Labor Council endorsed Gilbert Wong and Rod Sinks.

Food and refreshments are provided for campaign volunteers at all these events:

– Get Out the Vote:
Saturday, Nov. 5, 9 a.m.-2 p.m.  (Precinct Walk)
Sunday, Nov. 6, 4 p.m.-8:30 p.m. (Phonebank)
Monday, Nov. 7 and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. (Doorhangers); 3-8:30 p.m. (Phonebank)
Tuesday, Nov. 8: Poll checking (3 shifts: 10 a.m, 3 p.m., 5 p.m.) and phonebank, 3-8 p.m.

– Election Night Party: Tuesday, Nov. 8, 8-9:30 p.m. at the South Labor Council, Hall A.
