This event was organized by SEIU Local 521 in Visalia in conjunction with our faith, community, and labor allies, to highlight what will happen to the poor, elderly, sick, and young if our legislators in Sacramento opt to cut $25 billion from public services like education, police and fire, and services for the poor, disabled, and elderly.
We provide these services, and any cuts to these services will directly impact the people in our communities that we work to care for and directly impact our jobs and families.
We gathered to remind our elected legislators that no matter what faith they belong to, they have a religious obligation to be charitable to the poor, the elderly, the sick, and the young.
