SAN JOSE – Because this is the heart of Silicon Valley, notions such as quality pubic services, decent job compensation, and food for all should be a given – not something out of reach.
On Thursday, workers at Valley Medical Center will hold a rally to highlight their efforts in providing quality healthcare, their quest for a fair contract, and their participation in SEIU Local 521’s first localwide canned food drive – called “Food for All” – benefiting community food banks.
WHAT: Valley Medical Center employees rally for services, contract and food drive
WHEN: 11:30 a.m., Thursday, May 19
WHERE: Valley Medical Center, 751 S. Bascom Ave., San Jose
[outside Valley Specialty Clinic]
