Annual labor heritage festival: Jan. 13-15

WWLHFWestern Workers Labor Heritage Festival is an annual Bay Area celebration of labor music, theater, visual arts, comedy, spoken word, photography and songs inspired by labor struggles and other social justice movements around the world.

This year, the festival takes place Jan. 13-15 at International Association of Machinists Local 1781 Hall: 1511 Rollins Road, Burlingame.

The festival’s mission is to connect issues of workers’ rights with struggles for civil and human rights, bringing together people in labor and the community. The festival honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for his commitment to workers’ rights.

The festival concludes with a Sunday evening benefit concert for workers in need.
