Community programs, hard-working employees must be priorities
FRESNO – James Hackett, president of SEIU 521’s Fresno County Unit 36 chapter, a member of the SEIU 521 Fresno County bargaining team and a social services program supervisor, issued the following statement following the release of Fresno County’s proposed 2012-13 budget:
“The county needs to put together a budget that works for everyone. We’re going to look very closely at the budget proposal and make sure vital services and programs are there for the community. While balancing the budget, the Board of Supervisors should remember the employees have faced some tough cuts in recent years and are having a hard time balancing their family budgets. At the end of the day, we are Fresno County and we are working for everyone.”
