Gina Izquierdo, a 26-year-old medical assistant, had been working at Clinica de Salud for more than 13 months when she was fired in June for what she believes was her union organizing.
“I was actually one of the first leaders there to get fired,” Izquierdo said. “There was no investigation, I was just fired. That’s why we’re seeking justice and transparency in discipline and discharges. We’re looking for justice.”
