Come to the next Membership Meeting for more information about the contract we are bargaining!
It’s our contract, it’s our job to win for ourselves, our families, and our community.
Salinas Meeting: Monday, Feb. 11 5:30-9:00 p.m.
Penny Farthing Tavern, 9 E. San Luis St., Salinas
South County Meeting: Thursday, Feb. 7 5:30-8:00 p.m.
Cheezers Pizza, 670 Walnut Ave., Greenfield
RSVP to one of these two meetings with Gina Izquierdo at (831) 784-2575.
We all need to attend the next meeting. It’s important for us to have a say on whether we agree on these proposals and what management wants us to accept. We owe it to ourselves and our patient community to get involved.

CSVS workers earn below-average wages
Join the SEIU 521 campaign to improve our contract!
Contract negotiations continue and Clinica workers have many issues to be addressed by the employer in order to win a fair and just contract.
Recent analysis shows that workers of Clinica de Salud make anywhere from 5% – 27% less in hourly pay than their counterparts in the region. Other issues include:
• Workers’ job titles, descriptions and duties are inconsistent or do not exist.
• Uniform language
• Holiday hours that honors our commitment to patients while we work on Cesar Chavez day
• Our CSVS Bargaining Team proposes an initial wage scale for Year 1 of the 3-year contract so that everyone receives a fair increase.
Based on our research of classifications in the surrounding regions (Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Monterey County), CSVS employees’ hourly rate is on average 5% – 27% less than comparable non-profit clinics. The wage proposal presented to management on January 31, 2013 honors the commitment of CSVS to our community by respecting workers and offering competitive wages to recruit and retain quality medical staff.
