1) Bilingual Pay – There shall be no less than 23 bilingual paid positions for members to receive a Per Diem rate of $3.50 per day. Positions shall be decided at management’s discretion. These authorized positions may be paid daily, Pay Period or any other determined period of time.
2) Vacation – After the initial signup period has been completed, all employees entitled to an additional week shall be allowed to sign up for five additional days in individual day increments or more, depending on supervisor’s discretion.
3) Court Reporters Schedules – Effective January 21, 2013 CSR’s work week will be 37.5 hours per week with work hours being 8:15A.M to 4:45P.M.. Each employee will be credited with a half hour furlough each day, which will bring the work week up to 40 hours for retirement calculations purposes. This will continue through the last pay period of June. During this time CSR’s will be paid Overtime (paid at 1.5 x hours worked) for all hours worked over 7.5 hours a day or 37.5 hours per week. Effective first pay period of fiscal year 2013/2014 CSR’s work week will be 35 hours per week with work hours being 8:30A.M to 4:30P.M and CSR’s will be paid overtime(paid at 1.5 x hours worked) for all hours worked over 7 hours a day or 35 hours per week. All other benefits (i.e.: Health plans, Annual Leave accrual rate, etc. will be at the rate for employees working 80 hours in a pay period.)
4) Term – This agreement will be effective until September 29, 2013 and the parties agree to begin negotiations on July 1, 2013 for a successor MOU. If the parties have not come an agreement on a successor M.O.U. by September 30, 2013 they shall enter into mediation unless there is a mutual agreement to continue with normal negotiations.
The Bargaining Team recommends a YES VOTE on this agreement.
