The wealth gap in America may be larger than you think

What does income inequality really look like in America? A new viral video tests our knowledge of “Wealth Inequality in America” by highlighting the perception and actual distribution of wealth in America.

As it turns out, there’s often very little difference between low-income earners and the middle class in our country. The wealthiest top 1% of Americans have 40 percent of the nation’s wealth, while the bottom 80% only has 7% between them. This discrepancy has only gotten worse over the last 20 to 30 years.

“Wealth Inequality in America” reminds us that we must stay committed to winning for the 99%.
