On March 23, the SEIU Women’s Caucus celebrated National Women’s history Month. The theme for this year’s celebration was Women Inspiring Innovation Through Imaginatio. Susan Anderson, a retired Fresno County Supervisor gave a speech on leadership and gave real-world advice on how to be a better leader.
Lenora Licon acted as the master of ceremonies and led the group through a number of exercises that helped members learn history and how to develop their own voices. They also participated in an Annual Diaper Drive to be donated to the Holy Cross Homeless Women’s Day Shelter.
“We had a wonderful day and members left feeling renewed and empowered. It’s important that we continue to remind ourselves of how far we’ve come while we look ahead at how far we still have to go.” Lenora Licon, Child Support Officer III, Fresno County
