Hundreds of inspired members turned up the heat – and noise – on Senter Road in San Jose on Tuesday, the second in our week-long series of Unity Breaks fighting for a fair contract and quality public services. Some 400 county employees gathered to show our unity and to support our community and services.
Our current contract has been extended to July 23, and we must take action to let the county hear our voice loud and clear!

“We believe in quality community services, and we need a quality workforce. I encourage workers to come out to the Unity Break events. To keep our union strong, we need to be informed, educated in union acts; we are all in this together.”
— Veronica Frausto, Administrative Assistant (Social Service Agency)

“Our community is depending on us. The county will only take us seriously if we the union stay strong together. Be sure to join a Unity Break and show your support!”
— Roseann Berthron-Arechiga, Eligibility Worker II
