Huffington Post Profiles Eliseo Medina, ‘The Man Who Kept Immigration Reform Alive’

The Feb. 3 front page of the Huffington Post features an in-depth profile of immigration activist and former SEIU Secretary-Treasurer Eliseo Medina: “All told, (Medina) went without food for 22 days (during the Fast for Families), a powerful protest that helped save immigration reform from being forgotten in Washington … . ‘More than anything else,’ Medina said, ‘our hope was to really create an urgency to this issue to ensure that (Congress) understood that this issue was not going to go away.’” Medina talked about the Fast for Families Across America bus tour and said he planned to fast one day each week during Lent.
