Santa Cruz County members get a raise

Winning At Work

Santa Cruz County workers recently got a 3% wage raise in their paychecks, negotiated by their Bargaining Team back in 2013.

The annual rate of inflation in the U.S. in the last couple of years has been less than 1%, so this 3% raise is a win for our members — regaining just a little of what’s been lost since 2008.

Next year Santa Cruz County workers will be negotiating a new contract, and management will be trying to take some back. Unless we want to face takeaways again, members will have to stand strong together!

The higher our membership, the more power we have at the bargaining table, and the better our chances of winning a good contract.

The power of our union is in its numbers. Become a member today!
