What’s been going on with our first contract campaign?
Federal agency investigating 4Cs
We have filed unfair labor practice carges against 4Cs for closing Orchard Early Learning Center and firing Bridgett Alexander because she supported the union. There is an ongoing investigation by the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), the federal agency that enforces the legal rights of union workers.
What’s an unfair labor practice (ULP) charge?

“Donut Man” booted
After the charges were filed against 4Cs, Management fired their union busting lead negotiator. See ya!
Management hiding key info
After months of requests, 4Cs Management still refuses to turn over information that is key to negotiations. The information includes employees’ salaries, hire dates and medical benefits. These are important to proposing wage increases, seniority policies and healthcare plans.
Management’s deadline to submit the information is Jan. 1. If they don’t, we will take more legal actions.
Continuing to fight for Orchard
Unfortunately, Orchard Early Education program closed on Nov. 30. We continue to fight for the teachers’ jobs back, and reopen the program for the families who rely on them.
