Call Now: Tell Congress to invest in child care

Just one call. So simple. So effective. So powerful.

What happens when people call Congress by the thousands? We win. Our calls helped take down Labor Secretary nominee Andrew Puzder and his anti-worker agenda and helped defeat the Republican healthcare bill that would have left millions without care and harmed children, people with disabilities and seniors.

The past few weeks only showed what we have known all along: When we step up and fight together, we are unstoppable.

Now it’s time to step up for child care. Let’s keep the momentum going.

Last year, we won important improvements to Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) regulations. For the first time, states will have to listen to us before coming up with payment rates. By attending a CCDBG hearing and making our voices heard along with hundreds of others, we were part of that change.

Now we need to call Congress and tell them to invest an additional $1.4 billion in CCDBG. Child care workers need a living wage, parents need affordable care options, and all children deserve a good start. This funding is a step in the right direction.

Tell Congress to prioritize child care now.
