June 30 - Just in the nick of time, SEIU blocked wage cuts to San Mateo County homecare workers. "This is a victory for the thousands families that rely on critical homecare services," said Ed Burns, a homecare provider and Chair of the San Mateo County homecare chapter. "It's a shame that we have to jump through so many legal hoops to keep a program that greatly benefits the state and the county."
