History & Purpose
The Women’s Caucus was established on Dec. 5, 2005, and was originally known as the Central Valley Women’s Committee. As working women, we recognize the common bond we share and the need to mutually support one another both in our workplaces and in our communities. We further recognize the importance of organizing and educating and empowering ourselves to improve our status and our ability to resolve workplace problems and social and health problems plaguing our communities. For the above stated reasons we have created this caucus. Our goal is to unite, educate, organize and empower the working women to become leaders in our union and be involved in our community. The Women’s Caucus and Latino Caucus in Fresno decided to help those in need in their communities. Read more »
