What Is the CNA's Track Record?

Recent CNA (California Nurse Association) Activity

Scuttling health care reform in California:
SEIU nurses fought for health care reform in California that would have brought insurance to millions of uninsured children and their families, ensuring our public health system didn’t continue to bear brunt of caring for uninsured by insuring 70 percent of Californians without health insurance.
CNA’s opposition to the legislation contributed to no health care reform at all. Because of the lack of health care reform in California, nine people die every day.

Preventing 8,000 health care workers in Ohio from forming their union: Nearly 8,000 nurses and other healthcare workers in Ohio saw their dreams of forming a union derailed last month after CNA ran a fiercely anti-union campaign urging them to vote “no” in their elections at nine hospitals.

CNA officials have disrupted hospital workers' unionization votes or undermined nurses' sensitive contract negotiations in at least seven states.
