Chávez, and look to his example in our continued push for UNITY. 52 years after the signing of the first United Farm Workers contract, SEIU Local 521 members continue their resilient efforts through bargaining negotiations on various contracts from Kern to San Mateo County.
SEIU Local 521 members are commemorating the legacy of Chávez by participating in various community service actions and marches throughout the month of March and April, all while making it loud and clear that “Together #WeRise”. The Central Valley roads that paved the way for union organizing decades ago continue to inspire our fight for union jobs today!
SEIU 521 members joined and sponsored a march and celebration event in Visalia on March 24.
Our union offices were closed in honor of Chávez on Friday, April 30.
