Social and Economic Justice (SEJ) Committee
The SEJ Committee meets every second Tuesday of the month, unless otherwise indicated, at 5:30 p.m. in the San Jose union office.

APALA Caucus
Purpose: The APALA Caucus will strive to promote a greater understanding and respect in the Asian and Pacific Islander cultures within the diverse membership of SEIU Local 521. APALA serves as the bridge between labor movement and social economic justice - be part of that bridge.

Lavender Caucus
This caucus is the Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (L/G/B/T) caucus. Its purpose is to facilitate open and respectful communication between the community and the labor movement by increasing visibility of rank and file activists, officers, and staff members in their Unions and workplaces, and in work actions; creating visible SEIU presence within the community; educating SEIU members, staff and leadership about issues; educating the community about labor issues and supporting workers' rights within that community; networking with other labor and community groups.
Get involved and become a part of the grassroots committee to develop LGBT Caucus of SEIU Local 521 in the Central Valley Area.
