Members Win Two Seats on Local Retirement Boards

Two members have won seats on central valley retirement boards in November.
Bob Jefferson of Kern County was elected to the Kern County Employees' Retirement Association, and James Hackett of Fresno County won a bid for the Fresno County Employees' Retirement Association.

Both members, who won their elections by significant margins, said they look forward to finding solutions to retirees' pension problems.

I thank all of those who helped with my campaign and look forward to giving employees a real voice in protecting our pensions and restoring a feeling of confidence in the board, said Jefferson after the results were announced Nov. 27.  I will keep my promise of holding KCERA accountable for proper management of our retirement funds.

Hackett shared the same sentiment in regards to Fresno County Employees' Retirement Association.

Thank you for all your support, Hackett said. You can count on me to support proposals that will advance the financial health and security of our pension fund. I will always maintain a high level of professionalism along with establishing an open line of communication for members.
