Health Benefit Rates Update – November 28, 2017
As you all know, this is the time of year that we face increases in our health insurance. The CAPMC Health Benefits Committee (Irene Yang, Donna Tooley and Mattie Mendez) have done an awesome job keeping and finding rates that are affordable. In a meeting with CAPMC your Chapter Health Benefits Committee (Veronica Armiento-Ruz, Thomas Chairez and Rocio Rodriguez) determined these are reasonable rates for us to continue to receive quality medical care.
They have also added a Telemedicine Plan for fast and easy treatment; the only downfall is that it does NOT count as the mandatory health coverage we need to have when filing our taxes. We still need to have medical coverage through our employer or our spouse. Remember, if you are going through your spouse’s insurance, you need to submit a copy to the Human Resources Department as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call your Chapter President, Veronica Armiento-Ruz at (559) 213-7342.
