Santa Clara Home Care Rally
November is National Family Caregivers Month. Take a moment to honor our local 521 home care providers during this important time! Home care workers provide care to the elderly and disabled, allowing them to live in dignity in their own homes, or with family, instead of being forced into nursing or convalescent facilities.
Next home care action:
On Nov. 22 our Santa Clara County home care workers will be asking the Board of Supervisors to honor the work they do and the financial sacrifices they have made, including giving up more than 13% of their pay over the past 2 years. Having given all they can give, home care workers will be taking donations of food to give to the Board, since they have nothing left to give.

“Home care workers provide critical services to the community each day. Join us in celebrating National Family Caregivers Month and come to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors meeting Nov. 22. Let them know we can’t afford to give up any more.”
— James Charles, Homecare worker

About National Family Caregiver Month
National Family Caregiver Month is a nationally recognized time to focus attention on the more than 65 million homecare workers and family caregivers who provide 80% of our nation’s long term care services. Currently family caregivers provide over $375 billion annually in “free caregiving services” to those caring for older adults. This is a time to thank, support, educate, and advocate for homecare workers.
