Santa Clara County Chapter meeting

Community comes first!

Hundreds of Santa Clara County Chapter members attended a recent General Membership meeting to meet the elected leaders of the Negotiating Team and to hear what our vision and strategy is as we meet with the county for negotiations in April.
Members presented the overall vision that this is more than just a contract campaign. We will need to work side by side with the community to fight for the public interest.
Santa Clara County residents voted loud and clear last November that public services is a priority by passing Prop. 30 for schools and public safety and Measure A for the community.
Now we must do our part and deliver:

Quality public services that strengthen our community Accountable government that is responsive and efficient Cutting edge workforce that meets the challenges of our community
Create a workplace that focuses on quality delivery of services and that guarantees frontline workers have a strong voice to improve quality of work Prioritize tax dollars for direct and frontline services to benefit our community Invest in county workers, through recruitment, training and development, so that we meet and exceed the highest standards the public expects

wRen Bradley
“It’s time to organize and show the county that our resolve to serve our community will not waiver. We must win a fair and just contract for ourselves and our families. Restoring what we have lost is paramount. If ever there was a time to involve yourself, now is that time. We need your help at contract meetings, any actions we have and worksite awareness such as wearing t-shirts or buttons. Everyone’s involvement will be the key to our success!”
– wRen Bradley, Santa Clara County Chapter Chair
