It’s time to make the call to put our courts–and the public–first.
The California Assembly has taken notice of the Administrative Office of the Courts’ (AOC) decisions that have continued to hurt the public, and they’ll be voting on a bill (AB 1208, Calderon) on Monday.

Can you call your legislator and ask them to support AB 1208 and put the public first?
Click here for the phone number and to report on your call.

We know that resources in the Judicial Branch are scarce. That’s why we’ve been working harder than ever to make sure that every dollar is wisely spent.
Unfortunately, the AOC has continued to make decisions that hurt the public. Like the costly IT boondoggle that will ultimately take away up to $3 BILLION away from every other function of the Judicial Branch. And the expansion of its central bureaucracy, and the operating budget that has quadrupled since 1998. Even as our local budget gets slashed, theirs continues to grow–all while courtrooms across the state are closing or being reduced to skeletal staff.
That’s why we need you to call your legislator and urge them to pass AB 1208. It’s the only way to ensure that money the Legislature allocates to trial courts goes to trial courts, and not the AOC or its special funds and projects.
