New SEIU Local 521 Executive Board takes oath of office
The newly elected SEIU Local 521 Executive Board was installed March 2 – with SEIU President Mary Kay Henry leading the member leaders through their oath of office.SEIU 521 members elect Executive Board for 2013-2016
More than 2,000 members participated in the localwide election of the second 521 Executive Board. Votes were counted on Jan. 23, 2013 in our San Jose office and broadcasted live via video conference to the Bakersfield, Fresno, Salinas and Visalia offices. The new Executive Board was installed on March 2, 2013.

Meets quarterly:
- March 2–3, 2013 – Saturday, 10 a.m. – Sunday, 1 p.m. – Wonder Valley – Installation and Training of new Executive Board and Officers
- March 26, 2013 – Tuesday – 6:00 p.m. – Video-Conferencing – Executive Board Meeting for Committee Appointments and Budget Review
- June 29–30, 2013 – Saturday, 10 a.m. – Sunday, 1 p.m. – Bakersfield
- September 28–29, 2013 – Saturday, 10 a.m. – Sunday, 1 p.m. – San Jose
- December 7–8, 2013 – Saturday, 10 a.m. – Sunday, 1 p.m. – Video-Conferencing

Officers’ Meetings
Meetings via video/teleconference at the Bakersfield, Fresno, Salinas, San Jose and Visalia offices on the 4th Tuesday of the month, 6 p.m. Officers will not meet in months when the Executive Board meets.
- January 29, 2013 (The January meeting will be on the 5th Tuesday due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.)

- Officers will not meet in March due to the Executive Board meeting on March 26, 2013.
- April 23, 2013
- May 21, 2013 (The May meeting will be on the 3rd Tuesday due to the Memorial Day Holiday and will start at 6:30 p.m., right after the 521 Celebration.)
- Officers will not meet in June due to the Executive Board meeting on June 29-30, 2013.

- Officers will not meet in September due to the Executive Board meeting on September 28-29, 2013.
- October 22, 2013
- Officers will not meet in November because of Thanksgiving.
- Officers will not meet in December due to the Executive Board meeting on December 7-8, 2013.
