The two candidates endorsed by SEIU 521 – JJ Jelincic in Seat A and Michael Bilbrey in Seat B – are the preliminary winners of the CalPERS Board Election.

JelincicJJ Jelincic is an experienced CalPERS Board member and has served two terms as President of the California State Employees Association and is dedicated to fighting back against the attacks on our retirement security.
BilbreyMichael Bilbrey is also a CalPERS Board member and serves as President of the California School Employees Association. Bilbrey is a committed defender of defined benefits pensions.
The CalPERS retirement program is one of the best in the country, thanks in part to the strong leadership that we’ve worked so hard to elect.
Both Jelincic and Bilbrey will serve four-year terms that begin on January 16, 2014.
