Dear sisters and brothers,

Our SEIU 521 San Mateo County Chapter Leadership has been in negotiations with the County regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), paid administrative leave, sick leave for Extra Help workers, hazard pay, telework, etc. These negotiations have not gone as well or as fast as we would like, and we need your help.

We will hold 3 online meetings on Thursday, April 2, to discuss COVID-19-related work issues. We need to work together to make our working conditions better under these difficult circumstances. Pick a time that works best for you.

We need workers that are willing to speak (videoconference call) to the supervisors during their board meetings this week and next week to encourage them to do the right thing for us. You will not be on the videoconference call alone, and we need as many voices as possible. Contact Tizoc at Tizoc.Arenas@SEIU521.org to speak at the board meetings.

Take care of your health and of each other!
