Speaking up is the only way we can improve our working conditions. Through our union, SEIU 521, Fresno County Department of Social Service (DSS) Social Workers are building stronger working relationships with DSS Director Sanja Bugay to address concerns.

Right now Social  Workers are organizing to win safer working conditions, livable wages, and more desperately needed improvements. If management truly wants to address caseloads, safety, training, and retention challenges, we need to hear from as many Social Workers as possible.
