Workers like you, whose labor has often been ignored, dismissed, or rendered invisible before COVID-19 was suddenly defined as essential. We are committed to make it clear why our work is essential and why we are fighting to protect our healthcare and win the wages and benefits we deserve.

Respect Us is about racial and economic justice, seeing workers as whole people who are at the center of our economy, our recovery; investing in our communities so we can all thrive; establishing a seat at the table through our union; addressing the impacts of systemic racism in our communities exposed by the pandemic.​
Protect Us is about our Healthcare (loss of), (impact of change to your life due to change in healthcare), COVID-19 impact on workplace and/or family, is a demand for a rational, well-managed response to the pandemic, workplace safety to healthcare and bold action to protect jobs, workers and their families; committing to listening to workers and protecting the front line; an equitable vaccine rollout, and continued protections for all working families during the pandemic.​
Pay Us is about what essential workers deserve and about survival for struggling families; breaking the existential economic disparities exposed by covid-19. Throughout the state (and country), workers are taking the health crisis head-on by caring for us, feeding us, and protecting us all while facing eviction and unemployment; being bold in standing up for (public) services residents need to survive – the work we provide; raising the wage to $15/hr and recognizing all front-line heroes. California and the nation mandated it, together we achieve it.​
