Rapid Hiring Opportunities Within SEIU Represented Employers
We recognize the burden and uncertainty layoff notices may have caused. SEIU 521 has coordinated with our other union employers to move forward with rapid hiring interviews for Momentum laid-off workers. Positions are not guaranteed. You must still interview and be chosen by hiring managers, but it should speed up the process.

Questions & Answers
If I choose to take a voluntary layoff, will I qualify for unemployment?
Yes. The information Momentum will give to EDD is that the employee has been laid off if the employee volunteers for layoff and is selected by Momentum for a voluntary layoff.
When will I know if I am impacted by the layoffs and be shown my options for positions and/or bumping (if applicable)?
We will be holding a joint meeting with Momentum management on Thursday, November 30, 2023, to bring workers together to either transfer into open positions or bump the lowest seniority workers. All impacted workers, including those who may be bumped, will be required to join in person.
What if I qualify for the layoffs, but choose to leave Momentum before the end of the year?
You must stay through the end of the year to receive the severance package. If you leave Momentum before the end of the year, they will consider it a resignation and you will not qualify for unemployment.
