BOO on Santa Clara County Office of Education!
Santa Clara County Office of Education (SCCOE) is reopening its schools too quickly and without all the safety precautions.
We ask SCCOE to consider the health of its students, paraeducators, and other classroom staff, as well as the risk of COVID-19 transmission to our community. COE should protect workers, their family members with medical conditions, and children at home because schools are not open for in-person by continuing to allow its employees to provide distance learning from their homes, not the empty classroom.
We can’t afford to lose the progress our working families and essential workers made since March mitigating the COVID-19 outbreak in Santa Clara County.
Management’s decisions have consequences. Is the risk worth it?
